El Aguara
Enjoy the magic of a horseback safari with spectacular wildlife viewing and vast plains to run across. Capture the energy of endless beautiful sunsets like no other.
La Pampa Province is located in Central Argentina, 450 miles west of Buenos Aires. Is the natural habitat for Red Stag, Puma, Blackbucks, Wild boars, Ñandu, and many other kinds of wild animals that will make each moment an uncertain and challenging moment to face where riding becomes an authentic Horse Riding Safari.
“El Aguara” is the typical Argentinean Estancia where the Gauchos and our tradition is combined with the atmosphere of a cattle ranch. It is a 36.000 acre agricultural and stockbreeding farm that combines flat areas, forests, low hills, and an incredibly challenging landscape that everybody would love to face.
El Aguara is a great choice for all levels of riders, and also offers plenty of non-equestrian activities for the whole family. There are fun, forward going horses for experienced riders but also sensible, steady schoolmasters for the less experienced. Riding hours and the pace can be varied to suit with lots of opportunities for fast going although in some areas rides are at a slower pace due to the terrain.
Here is usually about 4 to 6 hours riding a day with breaks for rests and lunch, although hours are flexible and tailored to suit also during the full moon nights we organize overnight excursions. There is also plenty of cattle work at the estancia, helping gauchos round up cattle or other activities.
The estancia provides comfortable home-base where you will enjoy personalized service and delicious locally-sourced meals celebrating Argentina’s unique culinary culture.
As this is a working cattle ranch dates and length of stay are flexible and offered year-round. Accommodations include 3 double rooms with a private bathroom.
